Molten to supply the Official Match Ball for the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League
Molten Corporation (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima City, Japan; President and CEO: Kiyo Tamiaki), a manufacturer of competition quality sports balls and equipment, will supply the official match ball for the 2021-22 season for both UEFA Europa League (hereinafter UEL) from September 16, 2021 to May 18, 2022 and the UEFA Europa Conference League (herein after UECL) from September 16, 2021 to May 25, 2022 in Europe.
Both official match balls apply technology used in the Vantaggio 5000, Molten's flagship soccer ball model. The unique technology minimizes water absorption and helps the ball maintain its shape, which results in an elevated level of play. The textured surface and special coating improve ball control and accuracy, allowing for more precise passes and shots. It is also designed specifically for the League, utilizing the UEL and UECL brand identities.
Molten will continue to develop and supply football products of outstanding function and design to every level of player, and work to fulfill the brand promise, “For the real game.”
■ Product Features A
1. ACENTEC structure
Molten’s unique thermal bonding technology produces a smooth, seamless cover that cannot be accomplished by hand sewing. The result is a uniform surface and reduced water absorption, ensuring exceptional performance that is not affected by weather conditions.
2. Improved flight stability
The new surface finish and texture have improved the flight of the ball, allowing players to elevate their game with more accurate passing and shooting.
3. Exclusive Design for the League
The official match balls for both UEL and UECL were designed based on the same concept of "energy wave (passion of the players, staff and fans)." However, the energy wave of each league incorporates the unique characteristics of the competition and the shape of the trophies. The UEL official match ball was designed based on the innovative spirit and strength of the competition, while the UECL official match ball was designed based on the geometric curves of the trophy.
4. Adopting new valve
Adopting a new valve reduces friction (40% compared to the previous Official Matchballs) when inflating the ball, making it more resistant to damage. Note : Apply a lubricant such as glycerin (or soapy water) to the pump needle when inflating the ball.
